Quick Note: This is a sequel album of a previous post Three Days of Sightseeing in Philly.

Our adventures in Philly continued on Day 2. The following pictures are of one the more unique street fairs that I’ve been to– Raluca and Anning took us to the 23rd Annual Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts Festival for fun-filled lunch complete with Bavarian cream funnel cake (for dessert) and of course, the music and performng arts experience was great, live jazz and Cirque de Soleil-like acrobats were some of the highlights. Afterwards, we went to explore the Mutter Museum and the following day, we visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art though we couldn’t go in because it was Columbus Day. Enjoy the photos!

All photographs were shot in Raw Format with a Canon Rebel.
I used either a 16mm – 35mm f/2.8 Lens or the 50mm f/1.4 Lens, 200 ISO.
Post processed with Aperture and Photoshop CS3.

Raluca and Anning test out some of the display furniture at an outdoor showroom (right outside of the actual furniture shop) on Germantown Avenue, in Chestnut Hill.

Obviously, they found it to be highly amusing!

Anning and Raluca standing inside a jewelry vendor’s booth. I though that the sunlight passing through the white tent resembled a lightbox which gave a soft glow to this couple’s portrait.

Look…Annie found something green… again!

The most beautiful pastry shop I’ve ever seen- The Taj Mahal of pastry shops.

And the treat of the day, freshly made Bavarian Creme Funnel Cake.

Mmmm,Yumskies…Oh so delicious yet oh so sinful!

…and here is the loveyly lady behind the delicious creation.

But most importantly, its got Annie’s seal of approval. Look at the smile on her face.

Creepy-looking dress at a yard sale…

Children running amuck and the poor, petrified boy stuck in the middle of the screaming for ice cream.

Poor kid didn’t get any ice cream…

Anning suggested visiting the Mutter Museum after the festival, he believes it’s one of the most fascinating museums devoted to the history of medical science. Indeed, Anning is right about that, it was at times, "disturbingly informative" just as the website describes. Some of the highlights were a man with an over-enlarged colon, a photostudy of the lives of a few Siamese twins, etc. Unfortunately, photography of any kind was prohibited in the museum, so I have no photos to post here. However, Annie bought a couple of souvenirs from the museum that are featured in this picture below.

The following are a few attempts at processing HDR (high dynamic range) images:
This one is of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.

Here’s another HDR image of the Moshulu, which is a floating cafe/restaurant/reception hall.

The creepiest theater experience I ever encountered. It was completely empty (except for us) during the whole movie.
As you can see, we got very comfortable and took our shoes off before the movie started.

Last day, here’s the main thoroughfare leading to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. No visit to Philly is complete without visiting The Champ!

And here he is!

Annie climbed up 10 feet to ride the moose. It was a mini-challenge for her.

Here’s my new muse.

Once again, Annie finds something else that’s green…precious blossoms.
