The first weekend of the year in which I was walking about in my t-shirt and breaking a sweat. At the high 70′s, a day that was beg to be spend outdoor. I spend my with my Digital Photography Workshop Meetup group at the Queens Botanical Garden. The theme was obviously trees flowers. However, while rest of the group was focusing on shooting petals and filaments, I was side tracked by all the little toddlers that was playing around by the green field. Kids portraits are the best because they are less conscious of the camera and the need to look good. They are cute regardless. Luckily, the parents of their kids was kind enough for me to shoot a couple of portrait for them. They were quite please with the quality of the photo. One parent actually pull out her purse to pay me. No, I didn’t take her money. All photos of children had been emailed to their parents.

I hope you enjoy these photos.

All photographs were shot in Raw Format with my Canon 50D.
I used either a 16mm – 35mm f/2.8 Lens or the 100mm f/1.8 Lens, ISO100 to 200.
Post processed with Aperture and Photoshop CS4.

This photo makes me feel like a little man looking at a giant acorn.

This kid was so animated. His parent basically just hired me on the spot to take picture of this little boy.
They were very please with the quality of the photos.

I have the same hair cut as this kid when I was his age.
Or maybe all asian kid are destine to have the bowl cut some period in their childhood.

I saw this couple just laying on the field mesmerized by each other. Too busy to know that I was taking snap shots of them. Unfortunatly I had to interrupt their moments to give them my contact info to get their photos.

I’m always experimenting with vintage effect of digital photos. Here’s one where I pull all the blue and green tint out of the photo and added a golden flare around the center just to give it a wash-out/overexposed effect.
