A photographer may go to great lengths trying to capture that one special engagement portrait. However, those willing to express themselves on camera are the ones who’ll bring magic to your photographs. In this case, it’s Sue and Bo.
Bo is a high school friend of mine and it’s been years since we’ve last seen each other. As we sat inside a restaurant, discussing the ins and outs of an engagement shoot, I could already feel this was going to be an exciting session. They were gregarious and not at all shy about sharing seven years worth of stories, include the tale of their proposal at Top of the Rock.
Sue and Bo have great chemistry together which made the session especially interesting for me. Their playfulness and loving interaction captured at the shoot were just some of the things that made these photos as visually inviting as chocolate cake! I hope you enjoy them much as I do!
If you are reading this post, chances are you’re probably intrigued by what “Explicit Adult Material” really means. Hehehe. Firstly, shame on you for looking! Secondly, it IS explicit. That’s why for everyone’s sake, I’ll only showcase the more PG-13 photographs in this post and put only the R-rated photos in a separate slideshow. Anyway, this series of photos were shot from one of The New York Pin-Up Photography Meetup Group events. In this case, It was a Burlesque show at the Slipper Room hosted by Brandon Herman, the organizer of the Pin-up Photography meetup.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with what burlesque shows are, I will now quote from Wikipedia — “Burlesque is a humorous theatrical entertainment that involving parody and sometimes grotesque exaggeration. In 20th century America, the form became associated with a variety show in which striptease is the chief attraction.” In other words, it’s skin art– of the big tease variety.

It’s amazing how something as simple as removing a the glove while making alluring eye contact can provoke such eroticism.
